FAQs for Hosts
Who can be a host?
Anyone with safe, off-street space. If you have a farm in Geraldine, a driveway in Queenstown, or a lawn in Wānaka, you can host travelers and earn.
Do I need amenities?
No. You can choose to host self-contained vehicles only (with their own toilet and plumbing) or offer amenities (like a toilet and shower) to earn more. If you host self-contained vehicles only, please mention in your listing where the nearest dump station is.
How do payouts work?
We partner with Stripe, a leading payment provider. You will be paid securely and quickly after each booking.
How much will it cost?
Listing your property is completely free and we only charge a small commission on bookings to help keep the lights on. Selected founding hosts enjoy free fees during our summer launch!
How am I protected against damages?
Each traveler agrees to our Terms and Conditions as well as your rules – this includes our Leave No Trace principle. If a traveler behaves poorly, we will investigate the issue and ban them from the platform if necessary. We will be rolling out host insurance soon.
Do I need Council consent?
You can host one party or family without registering as a campground with your local council. Hosting multiple parties may require registration. Your local council can advise you on specific details for your region.
